THE GIFTS OF GOD ARE NOT FOR SALE . FREELY YOU HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE

Christians should know that the gifts of God are not for sale. Freely you have received, freely give ( Mathew 10: 8).That is why our Master Jesus Christ did good to all without demanding any thing from them. But my question is this where has this mentality in church come from that you have to sow  "1000 dollars" for you to receive that blessing, that healing that house, its like for every thing you want in Christ you have to pay a price for it! It has even come to sowing  a seed for the word of God to speedily work for you. I wonder what is in this Luke warm church today because all its pulpits are filled with money demands and money teachings. From the time the pastor comes to the pulpit to the time he finishes it's  all about money: '' give this seed and the holy spirit will do wonders for you, they have given every name to their seeds;  sow "777 dollars" and the Lord will give you what you want in one week. Does this Church ever ask itself about the truth? Its like the church of today is serving money yet the word of God says in 1 Timothy 6:10, the Love of money is the root cause of all evil. The love for money has robbed us of the true gospel of Christ which brings us healing, the power to over come sin and the strength to over come the hardships we face and even prepare us for eternal life. 

Jesus told us no servant is above is master  ( John 13:16), then if Jesus Christ never practiced this then why are we allowing this kind of robbery to fill the church. Cause Jesus was a man of Justice he did what was right and he expressed the power of God without Charging any one or demanding anything. Do you think that our God is so low that we have to buy him with our money? no way , our God is the owner of everything, we don't need anything to bribe him, he is not like corrupt officers who need to be bribed to offer services to people. Did any one pay him anything so that he could send down his son to die for our sins, he did it because he loved us and wanted to save us from our sinful living. The gospel of Christ was given to us for free not to be sold ( I Timothy 6:3-10). The church leaders con people in the name of preaching the gospel: You have to buy a jet for the pastor for him to spread the gospel every where.  Imagine if today's men of God were in the era of apostle peter, I think they  would buy lots of donkeys, lots of boats, lots of buildings in the name of spreading the gospel. If Jesus never even bought a donkey to spread the word nor his apostles and early church, why is this church obsessed with buying and accumulating worldly things in the name of preaching the gospel Yet what they did touched and changed many lives. Such people don't want to suffer for the gospel they want every thing on a silver plate. Poor people have been robbed in the fear these people instill in them that if  you don't give you are cursed and you will remain poor. But is this the truth? no way ,if Jesus Christ was still here would he threaten his church with such nonsense. The church of God should know that the gifts of God are not for sale. And those who sell it and those who buy it are all doomed because it only enrich the preachers and cause more impoverishment and disappointment for believers who support it.

In  the city of Samaria there was a man named simon the sorcerer who had accepted Jesus when Philip was preaching the gospel in Samaria. So when apostle peter came to the church in Samaria so that they would be filled with the holy spirit, Simon came with his money offering it to peter so that he would buy the power of the holy spirit, Peter was angry at him for thinking that he would buy the gift of the Holy spirit with his money (Acts 8:18-24).

 18And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

The gifts of God whether healing, blessing , protection are for free you don't need to buy anointing oils to be protected, once we are in Christ we are his and he is our protection, there is no need to anoint  yourself with oils to be protected. We are his body since he is the head of the church. Jesus too was angry at the Pharisees for their heresies and human inventions, they were stopping people from helping there parents and families in the name of devoting all their money as gifts to God . so families were starving, widows were robbed, poor people couldn't support their families since what they were getting was offered at the temple altar as devoted gifts to God.( Mathew 15:3-6)

3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a](C) and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[b](D) 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’ 6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

So Jesus Christ rebuked them for this robbery.  Because of this, the church of Christ has become so powerless that we have to depend on one person for protection in the name of spiritual covering, preaching, and that same man's gifts. This has suffocated the church that gifts of other people are suppressed yet as the church we are all one body with different gifts and each man's gift is supposed to edify the body of Christ ( Romans 12:3-8). Preaching the gospel is not meant only for pastors its for all believers, all believers are witnesses of Jesus Christ and we are supposed to show Christ wherever we go. The power of the Holy spirit is not for one being but for everyone in the body of Christ . That's why the early church of the apostles was very powerful compared to the church of today because they preached  the true gospel of Christ without selfish  motives and they preached to empower all believers to know their role as believers and the power they do possess as the members of Christ not so like today' s church that weakens believers to depend on one person who is seen as the man of God and others as puppets to follow his demands. Thus it becomes a congregation of believers who are powerless and with all spiritual gifts of every one suffocated yet every believers is the temple of the Holy spirit meant to do God's work wherever they go. The gospel is also manipulated to suit the interest of the leaders not to feed and build believers. That's  why the gospel that Jesus preached and what the early church preached to build believers in Christ is rarely preached in church. It is  seen as weak that it can't meet the selfish interests of the leader thus what is preached is all  about money, heresies that  entice the congregation to give more so that they can be blessed. But we should not be ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for the salvation of every one who believes. And the true gospel of Christ is free of charge and all gifts of healing, wisdom, power, the Holy spirit are all free to every one who believes ( James 1: 5). You don't have to pay, all you need is to draw to God with a sincere heart and you will be filled with his Holy spirit and  the power of God. The only price is to have faith in Christ and in his word, bear good fruits in him, abstain from  worldly pleasures, being patient in affliction as we wait For the  coming of  King  Jesus Christ the son of God.
