OUR FREEDOM IN CHRIST JESUS
Galatians 5 :1-15 New International Version (NIV)
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Mark my words! I, Paul, tells you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough. I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other".
When i think about the freedom that i have in Jesus Christ my heart is filled with joy and more joy. That Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law when he became a curse for us on the cross [Galatians 3:13-14]. Nothing in this world could save man not even our righteous deeds. No sacrifice of any animal could save us. All things had failed to save man. Observing the law could not wash away all our sins. Things like circumcision, animal sacrifices, observing the sabbath and things of the like could not take away sins of man but thanks be to God our father who sent his son in likeness of sinful man to die for our sins.
Salvation is not by works but by faith in Jesus Christ. My brother and sister if you want to receive this grace and freedom you don't need anything, nothing can hinder you any no longer . Believe with your Heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and savior and your sins will be forgiven.
And after you have received this freedom in Jesus Christ don't allow anyone to lie to you or enslave you with teachings like if you don't do this and that you are under curse. Example i have heard some people today telling others if you don't pay tithes, observe the sabbath , if you don't plant seeds to receive blessings and deliverance you are cursed, under a curse you walk. Absurd lies, is this what the scriptures say, is not the tithe,Circumcision , observing the sabbath , animal sacrifice and things of this kind part of the law of moses "the mosaic law" which failed to make man perfect and was made obsolete according to scripture in Hebrews 8:13. And how can Christ redeem us from the curse of the law and subject us to another curse. Galatians 3:14 says He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the spirit.
Arise Children of the Most High, arise from your slumber for you are saved by the new covenant of Grace in Christ Jesus...set yourself free from this bondage, seek truth and walk by it then the peace that of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [Philippians 4:7] My friends we were called to be free so we don't misuse our freedom to gratify the desires of the fresh rather we serve one another in love as he commanded us " Love one another".
May the good Lord bless you all...
